We take this commitment seriously and expect to be held to a very high standard. Here we provide an overview of Ike’s approach to safety, including regularly updated information about our fleet of vehicles, geography of operations, compliance record, and safety statistics.
Our goal is to be a best in class fleet across all performance metrics as we develop our automation technology. We seek to minimize risk at all stages of development, and will continue to share more details on our approach in the future to help set a safety standard for the entire automated trucking industry.
Questions about our operations can be shared at: safety@ike.com
Ike operates a fleet of prototype vehicles from our facility in San Francisco, including Class 8 tractors outfitted with our technology, as well as a Toyota Prius used for mapping and data collection. The purpose of this fleet is to support development of a commercial automated trucking product. We keep this list up to date as our fleet changes over time.
Our fleet operates on interstate highways in a number of geographic areas, including Northern California, the Central Valley, the Los Angeles Basin, and in Arizona. Our mapping vehicles occasionally operate in other geographies to map new routes. We keep this map up to date as our geography of operations changes over time.
